LGT Transport, based in Omaha, Nebraska, announced the acquisition of Jason Thomas Trucking, a Midwest provider of liquid fertilizer transportation.

According to officials, the acquisition of Hastings, Nebraska-based Jason Thomas Trucking accelerates LGT Transport’s growth in the agricultural sector.

In a statement, Pam Spaccarotella, CEO and founder of LGT Transport, said, “Jason Thomas Trucking shares our same devotion to drivers and consumers.” “We hope that by working together, we will be able to provide an even more comprehensive expanded offering to our clients.”

LGT Transport did not disclose the purchase price.

Drivers and operational workers from Jason Thomas Trucking will join the LGT Transport team as part of the deal. In addition, LGT Transport will purchase eight tractors and eleven trailers.

The present Jason Thomas Trucking drivers will continue to operate out of Hastings to provide a site for liquid fertilizer transportation customers.

In February, the business upgraded its Baytown, Texas, facility to serve an increasing amount of industrial gas clients throughout the Gulf Coast.
