DHL delivers 2 billion COVID-19 vaccines, according to the Log Book

DHL transports 2 billion COVID-19 vaccinations.

DHL Group, a global logistics corporation, revealed that it has delivered 2 billion COVID-19 vaccines to over 175 countries.

The corporation began supplying vaccines in December 2020, with Mexico receiving the first supplies from DHL.

“We continue to seamlessly manage and execute different supply chain setups without cold chain interruptions or security problems little over a year after we delivered the first vaccine,” Katja Busch, chief commercial officer of DHL Group, said on Monday.

“Achieving this milestone is the result of our successful collaborations with both the commercial and public sectors.” True to our mission of ‘Connecting People,’ Improving Lives,’ we give vital supplies and vaccines to support the global vaccination effort,” she added.

DHL Express, its airfreight division, and DHL Global Forwarding, its ocean freight subsidiary, have delivered 394 million of those 2 billion vaccines to the Americas. Chile, Costa Rica, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Argentina, and Guatemala have been the primary recipients.

DHL Global Forwarding said in July that it has teamed with the nonprofit group Crown Agents to successfully deliver 4 million vaccines in countries like Indonesia, Jamaica, and Kenya, increasing its total vaccine delivery to 731 million at the time.

United Petroleum has selected its Driver of the Year.

United Petroleum Transports (UPT) named David Ramirez of El Paso, Texas, as its 2021 Professional Driver of the Year during its annual award ceremony last week in Nashville, Tennessee.

UTP, founded in 1966, is one of the Southwest’s leading carriers of fuels and chemicals, with service facilities in Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and Kansas. The trucking company situated in Oklahoma City employs over 500 drivers.

According to UTP management, who presented Ramirez with $25,643 in cash and prizes at the Nashville event, this was Ramirez’s third time as a finalist for the award because customers consistently praise him for his punctuality, work ethic, and safety behind the wheel.

“David is a terrific man, and we are very fortunate to have him as a member of our professional driver family,” said Greg Price, CEO of UPT, of the 35-year veteran driver who has been with the firm for 18 years.
